Craft Grouping
Was just thinking how good it would be if there could be group crafting with something similar to the way they do group harvesting with the rest of your group joining in.
I suspect the coding for it would be horrendously complicated but would be great to have it where particular items require say an average of 5000 to 12000 action points to complete. Each person in the group usually has 2000 to 2500 points to spend when doing their soloing items, but in a group the item may require 5000 to 12000 points to complete meaning each person in the group has to contribute different stages to it. It was just an idea I had after doing a bit of group harvesting and talking to another crafter thought this would be great to form up a group of crafters and do some seriously hard items in co-operation. |

Re: Craft Grouping
I'm not sure this isn't in the works for later, or something similar - I have no seekrit sauce, just guessing and inferring from stuff Sigil have said over the last few years. It certainly would be pretty neat.
... on the downside, I could imagine me fuming over the $)#(*# person in my pickup crafting group who kept jumping the gun and causing mega-massive "You're all dead now!" complications. ;-) (On the upside, a crafting PUG is kinda hard to imagine.)

Re: Craft Grouping
Yeah, I imagine that you would plan crafting groups well in advance, and use only guild members or trusted friends. On a raid, the most you lose is exp and the possibility of an item, but in crafting, you lose what could be ultra-rare components and a guaranteed item.
That said, I do remember something about items that require both adventuring and crafting to obtain. I do not, however, remember anything about group crafting, though I may have missed it. |
