Best use of Nickel

I collected some Nickel ore, but before I waste it all I'd like some opinions on the best use.

What's the best use of Nickel?

Harvesting tools?

Weapons?

Upgrades?

I'm interested as well, Now found and dug up 2 nickel nodes so have 2.1 ore's well its a start

Used one to make a pickaxe....according to the output per hit stats it's way weaker than a tin one, but I still have to try it out to see.

I know that nickel is meant to improve speed. I had read that although the yield stats are lower its meant to harvest quicker and after all saving time is always nice

Interested to see if you find you harvest quicker

Nickel are very awesome in upgrading weapons.

I have a 15 dps nickel upgraded longsword, with +13 stat.

If you're an armorsmith, don't use it in the Tin Armor Upgrade recipe, it takes all your stuff and pushes you down in the mud.

Actually it just returns an invalid item, but it does take your stuff (Nickel Ore, Enhanced Tin Armor Piece and Cotton Bolt)

Beware!

Hope they fix that cause I'd like to see the Armor from that.

Can you give more information about this? I would specifically be interested in what grade you got, what items you used, the grade of the enhancing components, and the name of the returned item.

Can't recommend using nickel on harvesting tools.

The harvesting goes slightly faster, but you get maybe 20-25% less from each node.

Is it possible that Nickel allows you an increased maximum yield? That would be nice for those of us who always hit max...

tin weapon upgrades seem like the way to go then. Thanks for the info
