Resonating dusts not working?

Has anyone been able to use resonating dusts?

(Mostly interested in any weaponsmiths)

I follow the crafting guide but never get the option to add the dust while crafting.

Yes I have it added to my table when starting the crafting process.

Describe how you are trying to use it, so perhaps we can better understand the problem.

According to the guide you're supposed to add it at the start of the 2nd to last process. However I don't get the option to add it, and, as far as I've been able to tell, at no other time during the crafting process.

Which dust are you trying to use? If I can come by one, I will try it on one of my own recipes.

Edit: Also, what recipe are you trying?

Read the first post, I have already noted it since I knew this question would come up.

I'm been trying to use resonating dust of striking in the crafting of thestran copper and tin daggers.

I don't recall whether I got around to trying it while crafting thestran shortswords.

But has anyone been able to use any resonating dusts at all?
And if so where, when, how etc.

I tried that same dust last night on a dagger, and did not see the option. I'll look again today to see if maybe I missed something...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't resonating dusts only be used on amateur or higher items??

I'm hearing that the pop-up window to add the dust (between steps 2 and 3) is staying hidden under the crafting UI. If anyone can validate this that would be great, as I have yet to experience it myself.

Ok, I did find the option. It is labeled as Dexterity dust, but it works properly. The reason I didn't see it before was that it overlaps with my hotbar, because it appears one row lower than the normal options.
