Thats good data Shinto, thanks for pulling it together, however the fact remains its not worth making copper stuff. The copper phase has become just something to grind though now which is a shame.
I can spend my time better adventuring and frankly the kick I get out of MMO crafting is making the best stuff and VG is not going to let me do that it seems. It might be worth making tin and higher though, I'll have to see how others do before I start again. The problem here with the change is that they have adjusted things so that a tier X crafter can only make stuff that is useful to tier X adventurers. I seem to remember a quote that said something along the lines of a tier X crafter would be able to make stuff usable by folks slightly higher than tier X. Tier X adventurers can go and loot stuff thats tier X+0.5 and get a benefit from it straightaway and so why invest money in a weapon that lasts at most 2/3 levels when I can go and loot a weapon that lasts 5-6 levels? Here's a couple of other items to add to your list, they are very easy to obtain: leaf hilt dagger - 8.22 dps - level 14? Lotus dagger - 9.33 dps - level 15 dagger - 15 dps - level 20 (3 rivers quest, Cronan's? final reward,- not sure about the name, a friend did this one the other night) Visionary Axe - 13.22 dps Good luck with your business, let me know how you get on. I'm afraid I couldn't get much information on crafted items above level 16. That will have to wait a while.
As far as the copper items go, there is a noticeable difference in usefulness between those and tin ones. Copper allows you to customize your stats, but overall does not add all that much to damage. Don't forget, though, that crafted items are available before players are strong enough to get to Three Rivers. Business is is doing quite well. I am still selling copper harvesters for 1s each, though more for name recognition than cash. I recently started moving into tin items, and made 20s today from a pair of daggers. |

I have over 200 copper ore in the bank now and about 60 tin that I had collected ready for the next tier. Maybe I'll spend a few hours making some stuff and throw it on the broker for 2-3s and see how it sells and divide my time between adventuring and grinding into tin. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I still worry though that without any decay in a few months there will be a flood of looted gear being passed between players such that crafted weapons will not be attractive. I am beginning to think that the other crafting profs that make more ulitity items such as bags with many slots, clothes, ships, houses etc might be a better choice. |

With item wear I'm still just thinking general items.
But any way you do it someone is probably going to be unhappy. But were talking means to make a lot of crafting classes useful and not just a hobby. I'm repeatedly pondering why developers are putting crafting in a game if it will be useless and nothing but a novelty. |
