Driving me nutz!!

So I know how to craft.. and yesterday discoverd most of the early Outfitting items.. but here is my problem and its killing me.

Who makes chain mail?? I've been told Blacksmiths.. I've been told Outfitters.. I've checked on crafting sites and seen both answers there too. Can anyone give me a difinitive answer?? Which class will make my Shammies armor?

There's no such thing as chain mail, if I remember rightly, at least not in terms of item naming, though it appears on many models. If there is, it's medium armour and it's made by Leatherworkers. Armoursmiths make heavy armour exclusively, which is equivalent to plate in terms of looks.

The confusion arises, as far as I know, from the fact that many armour models have "chain mail" bits in them, and the presence of such items in other games.

Anyway, best I know is if you want medium armour go see (or make) a leatherworker (outfitter spec), and if you want heavy armour you'll need an armoursmith. Light, of course, is made by tailors.

I guess that might be the problem then.. It looks like chainmail .. says Medium armor but perhaps your right there is no "Chainmail" title.. thank you. I guess the problem was the wording of my question more than the lack of player knowledge.

ah i see you beat me to the reply i would have said the same, that if its a medium armour you want to see good old Mr. lether worker
