Dyes and Outfitters

Are dyes usable now? I saw Dyes and Berries for sale in Rindol Field. The merchant in CB didn't sell the Mixing Stick tool to make Dyes. I thought I remember reading that Dyes weren't usable yet. Are there recipes that take Dyes? Thanks for the info.

We'll find out tomorrow, if nothing else.

I levelled an outfitter on the last day of beta and got a (white?) dye recipe at 7 or 8, but didn't have time to try it out before the world ended.

Yep, I have a Dye recipe but it needed tools that the vendors didn't sell. I wasn't sure if that was a bug or intended. Or maybe I have to find the vendor that sells them.

It worked on cloth recipes only. And the cloth recipes seemed to be only for diplomacy...

I got the berries and was able to make white dye as an outfitter. The names of the tools required and the npc listed names were different. So it asked for like a mortar and pestle so I bought something that looked like a stick and something that looked like a bowl and it worked.

A single berry at grade A made me 3 white dyes. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the dyes in any recipes to see how they looked.

OH thanks for the tip. It didn't occur to me that the names could be wrong. Good call.
