Crafting info?
I have 7 copper chucks I can not find the recipe to refine it into Copper ingots. I have checked blacksmith instructors and they don’t seem to have the refine recipe. I am also unable to find the refining tables.
Also how do you get copper sheets? Any info would be great |

Re: Crafting info?
All I've done is reaping and skinning, but the 'pieces' they give can be combined into the usable piece by right clicking on it. A dialog pops up confirming, and the change is made. Takes 20 of the pieces to make one of the next step... sorry don't know the real name. Jute pieces make a jute bale, for instance. HTH.

Re: Crafting info?
Yes you have to combine the raw material but there is also another step to actually refine. I didn't see any refining recipes for my new outfitter on my trainer today either. I haven't done any refining work orders yet though and it also looks like lots of the recipes have been moved around - might not get the recipe until a higher level.

Re: Crafting info?
I was doing Moderate difficulty work orders this week with my lvl 5 Outfitter and was delivering grade A all the time. I've tried refining some leather and got 4 new complications in a row, all requiring new tools or utilities that I had never used before, and needless to say it was the first item that I ran out of action points on and failed. It's just as well that this recipe got moved higher up the tree (if it was). They could have, of course, made the recipe easier, or give us a way to assess an item 's difficulty from within the interface

Re: Crafting info?
Quote:
the blacksmith instructor has the recipies for actually making things - copper ingots is the first recipie she offers. you have to go to the refining station and choose miscellaneous recipies - its in there. you dont get any exp for making em - or any other actuall item that goes in and stays in inventory - not like workorder items. Blacksmith instructor = gives real item recipies Blacksmith taskmaster (either refining or finishing) = gives work orders also you need to have enough chunks to make an ore 20 chunks = 1 ore an ore is what you use to make a ingot.....so you have to convert your chunks into ore before you can use em in a recipie 20 chunks = 1 ore = 1 ingot stacks of chunks will stack up to a limit of 100 stacks of ore will stack up to a limit of 20 hope this helps Last edited by Taronn Anvilmarr : 01-21-2007 at 09:26 PM. |

Re: Crafting info?
The original post mentioned not being able to find refining tables. In BC they're on the opposite side of the room, very easy to see, so I'll assume you weren't there.
In Tursh, the forge and refining tables are actually outside of the barn on the side. In Three rivers, the forge and refining table are behind one of the three buildings along with Resanna, the NPC you have to visit for the level 10 blacksmith quest. In Leth Narae they're in one of the buildings in the crafter area - I think the one to the immediate left. Those are the only ones I've looked for, but there will be many others around in the larger towns and some outposts. |

Re: Crafting info?
The BS refining furnace in Leth Nurae is on the outside of the leftmost building as you're standing on the road looking at the fountain in the middle of the crafting area. (That may make it the west side, but don't quote me - I don't have my new-LN bearings yet.)
There was some issue with refining and other recipes in the last few days of beta which, I think, have been fixed. That said, 7 chunks won't get you an ingot - you need 20 chunks to make 1 ore, and then you can refine said ore into ingots (once you get the recipe). Those basic refining recipes should be on the newbie trainers though, once everything is fixed. Now to wait for live.... Are we there yet?! |
