Harvesting questions

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the beta as of yesterday and so far I'm liking what I've seen. I made a mistake with a character, I took the wrong harvesting primary and can't get the materials I need for my crafting. I was told there was a way to untrain harvesting skills and the npc that I trained with even said it was possible to abandom skills but they didn't say how. Can anyone here tell me how I can untrain my harvesting skills so I can train the correct skills needed to gather material for my crafting?

OK, I found the answer to my question.

My character is in Khal, the npc that you can use to untrain harvesting skills with is on the other side of the city from where the starter harvest trainer is, across the water. It's the same npc that sells upgrade harvesting skill books.

Glad you found the NPC you needed. In the zones I've started from the harvesting NPC you get your original skills from is the same one you can use to switch skills with. This was in the Dark Elf and High Elf starting areas. Of course things are changing so rapidly since open beta started that might not be accurate anymore either.

In Leth Nurae, there is a beginning harvesting instructor on the path that leads up to the city. If you continue north towards the city, there will be a house on the left (after first set of steps). In front of this house are 2 new harvesting vendors, 1 sells the harvesting books and allows you to switch harvesting skills, the other sells harvesting equipment.

Anyone know where the harvesting trainer is in Tanvu?

Spent an hour looking with no luck. Found the harvesting vendor np, but not the trainer. Doesn't appear to be either at the crafting hall or the training center. No luck asking the guards either. Does one even exist??

yep and it took me about 3 days to find him

hes in a hut type of (building) - one of those that has a roof held up by the four corner posts type of building - and hes in an area that is surrounding the city

not in the city but somewhere areound it. I think he is in sight of one of the entrances but im not really sure which one lol

dont look for a building with a door - its not that complicated type of building, just look for a guy standing under a roof by a field lol

I finally figured it out, the change from a vendor and a trainer to having a single npc handle both confused me... especially since Tanvu was one way and Tursh another for awhile during beta

Well it took me 2 days to find this guy I even looked at like all the bldgs around i finally found him he's on the outside down the stairs of tanvu in a hut type thing like the other guy said, he's near the road his name is sho pan rosewood, he's near the road that leads to gao lei or however you spell it.
