Making my own arrows

I generally liked the way I got to make bows and arrows for my Ranger in EQ1, so I hope it's the same method or close, what would make it better is being able to craft other wood weapons too like boomerangs in FFIX and other new wood weapons like a stake to slay vampires if there be such a beast in this most anticipated new MMORPG.

It's seems like I've been waiting eons to play this since I first read about it.

The current info (at least according to the dev tracker) is that arrows will not be craftable. There was quite a stink made about that and cooking not being in the game though so we might still see it eventually.

I'd bet Fletching, Brewing, and Baking will be in by the first expansion.

At least I hope so. With all the people yammering about them you would think they would have too.

I can understand the reasoning behind Sigil not putting them in yet. To much other stuff to concentrate on. I'm wondering how the crafting system will go about doing these though.

Well if their is not enough attention paid to the respect of archery or ranger class crafting I'll simply not be playing.

They have to leave a little "low hanging fruit" for content patches and expansions. Im willing to bet they can add all kinds of things quickly after launch if the community still really wants them.

i think ive heard of late that arrows are in the game (this was of some doubt for awhile) and that rangers would be able to make them w/o having to go back to town (from harvested materials and not needing a forge or something like that). Although i dont know where i read it, ill take a look for the quote and edit it in if i find it.

EDIT: i found a quote by a non dev saying something to this effect here but it seems they will have to go back to town to assemble. still looking for a dev post on the subject.

i would agree with most every1 when they say that crafting needs to be expanded a little bit. im not a hardcore crafter, but i like to dabble. for me there is enough to do, but i can see where some people would want something more... for instance crafting arrows and food and drink.

it is pretty cool how rangers can make arrows from harvested stuff tho, i like that.

im just gonna hope that they expand crafting in some expansion, after they get everything else right first of coarse ^^
