As a totally seperate sphere, I'm sure crafting will be able to be expanded much in the same way adventuring content can be expanded. This goes for diplomacy as well.

I've never really understood newer MMO's obsession with pick your craft and stick to it. Specialising at higher ends yes but totality has alwasys been a begbear of mine. I loved the EQ style of if you speant extortionate amounts of money and time you can master all trades, I don't care if it takes me at least a year per trade but give us the option, even if its through a long quest to allow the ability

i gotta agree with you there.... i wish more games did that too. though eq1 still had a wide variety of crafts to choose from, more than VSoH for sure... i would like to see a new crafting system, with the oldschool way of tradeskilling

Hehe I'm not alone then. So expansion idea, a severe really difficult quest that proves you have suitabley mastered your trade and specialisation to allow you to choose an additional base trade (obviously specialisations will remain because that would just be crazyness), that takes so long only the truely dedicated / insane would do it

that would be awsome... some1 hold a major person hostage and demand that this be implimented!

I think that's a great idea... Or having to do a 'heroic' quest in order to obtain certain craftables. That way, you don't just walk up to an NPC, choose Fletching, and immediately know how to craft a pristine arrow... You have to go out in the wilderness, test with various woods and in different climates and stains to make sure your arrows are of acceptable quality in order to turn in the quest... Once that's done, you can now make that pristine arrow.

Question on arrows in EQ2 you could make differnet types of arrows or buy them from someone else is it like that now in VG, or do you all think it will be like that in the future thanks
