I so cannot believe that i will be able to craft without my adv level dictating everything i make....

It does sound like Vanguard has finally created a fun crafting system for the crafting enthusiast. My only concern is will it appeal to the casual crafters like myself.

That thread is quite old now would be nice to get an update. reread it again and was reminded that food and drink have been excluded from crafting. my only real disappointment with Vanguards design.

meh food and drink as it is implemented in EQ2 just seems to be a money sink (being that I don't like the crafting there). I dunno, I just hope that maybe food and drink bump stats, but aren't "required". . .

I either want food and drink implemented properly or not at all. water containers you can refill from streams, ability to live off the land hunting for food. supplying Taverns with fresh food which can be cooked and enhanced.

You can, over a very long time, die of thirst or starvation. hunger reduces stats and stamina.

you can't just put 40 pints of water an 120 iron rations in your backpack and then forget about food and drink as you automatically consume the contents. uneaten food should go bad.

To me its a sub plot. If you are in town or city you pay for food in the wilds you live off the land, power to the ranger and herbalist and fisherman.

A good meal in an inn should last 16 hours even longer if you are not working hard. intensive fighting uses food and drink faster.


It is another big skill thing which so many games ignore.
