since my 'main' char is stuck on an oddball quest (Summoners) and doesn't want to outlevel it even more (he is 22)


I go to my alt - a lvl 20 Shammy. I've actually bought bags for lower level alts but not this guy since I wasn't playing him actively. He still has 2 4 slots mixed with quest bags.

So, last I recall on Thestra Jute 10 slot bags were like 7-8sp and less on Qalia (I recall buying some 4-6sp each) but when I look on the Thestra broker (was just in passing didn't check elsewhere) they were 19sp+ (+ !! heheh)

Now, this isn't a rant against prices etc - I believe in 'what the market will bear' - I just was curious whether it was a temporary thing (all sold out - only highs left), or no one is crafting now, or Thestra is REALLY high vs Qalia/kojan or...?

Again, please no arguments about too high/not high enough - just trying to get a feel for things since being moved to the new server and not having played since early March

(WAAAAA... lost all 6 of my char's Broker items and all their in transit mail as well - no clue what I lost, but I'd say a couple to 10 gp worth of crap between my 2 accounts... ya, I bet that's nothing these days but I'm stuck in launchtime-goldvalue mentality )

There was an inflation explosion related to gold selling, dupes, and whatnot, aside from the usual price increases you'll see as a server matures. That's about all I can tell you, since I've played 99% on Test since that server was launched.

I found cheaper on Qalia (similar to old prices) but from /ooc etc, ya, I see a big jump in prices. Alas, sucketh for moi since when I last logged on, I was saving for a house selling gear etc and had 2 chars with 2 gold and another 2 with 1 each... and buncha stuff on brokers from several chars (on my 2 accounts)

That stuff AND all my mail poofed *before* the server merge. When I heard about the merge I logged in to reuse my toons for the names (lost one of them only Glade) but on all like 14 or so of my toons, I had nothing in mail (and I regularly had stuff sitting there as I xfered stuff) and nothing on brokers. PRIOR to merge.

I am guessing that although I never cancelled my 2 accounts, the stuff on brokers got kicked for a bug or time limit? (gm told me was indefinate) and it hit my mail along with all my other mail and POOOF... probably 'timed out'

Didn't lose alot by today's standards I am sure (I'd bet 12gp or so worth of gear assuming sold, but far more valuable was that some of that gear was stuff I bought and sent to other toons for them to use, buying it now is more I see...) but it sets me back. Hopefully, I can just wait for the next expansion to buy good housing once I have the cash for it - by the time I do, I doubt I'd get the housing I had originally wanted (good loc, near crafting stuff etc) but that's my fault for having higher priorities hehe but I'm ok with that.

Eventually, I will be playing Vanguard or some other MMORPG with my son as well.

I noticed something on Halgar and that was there is no lower level crafters really, a new crop coming thru now it seems, but it left a whole in the market for lvl 5 - 20 items as all crafters had out leveled and couldn't be bothered making them. It could be the same on Xeth, there is no crafters bothering with those items, as they are passed it, and maybe out of jute and don't want to go and get more.
