VGPLAYERS Cuaseing a crash ?

How can this issue be with my sound card it I disable the thing in the hardware manager, and it still crashes me after 2 - 3 item discoveries, and thts the only time it does it is when I discover somthing, had it happen when I completed a quest, and got soem discovery on my Sorc.

I agree its not likely the sound card, but then again I dont think it is as simple as VGplayers either. I get several discoveries a week (not as many as you, but often enough) and have yet to see ping go red, let alone CTD. I believe it causes your crashes, but it is not universal.

Do you CTD when you level at the 5 or 10 level marks where they auto-grab a portrait and shove that to VGplayers?

Do you CTD if you issue the /portrait command?

Test server does not utilize VGPlayers.

If you see any test character on vgplayers.. please let us know.

yup - know that (as does Od), but we on test still get the "loading image to vgplayers.com" messages on discoveries, and level epochs, and if you issue /portrait command.

I dont know if the codebase on test refuses to actually SEND the info, or if vgplayers.com refuses to RECEIVE it, but I have seen Odball crash often when (or shortly after) discovering something. Its a strange strange bug.

Yeap.

I normally can go a long bit without a crash, but as soon as I start crafting and making discoveries I start going up and down.

Or as it happened the otehr day I turn in a quest and find I am the first on the server to do so, and I crash then.

As for leveling I don't know, I've not gotten 15 -20 levels in one seession so whatever bug the first update cuases never apears by hte time I get to a update level.
