The Gods

Some of us Forum browsers are looking for game Dynamics, Some are looking for Character playability, and others are looking for Raid Content.
Well there are a few of us out there looking for Lore content, where is the history, it coulden't all have been lost when the undead swept through the land. Who are the gods, the Clerics and Paladins devote themselves to? If i am the only one out there thats interested in this side of depth to the game please tell me. If not, let people know what kind of God inspires you. Or tell us what type of Goddess drives your passions. And if there is a link out there to the gods of Vanguard PLEASE attach a link!!!

thats a GREAT link Aredhel, i really hope the gods make it past the beta cut and are NOT cut out. Gods really make the lore and immersion come together and tie up loose threads for me. More than one god to worship/select would be the icing on the cake too.

I dont have a particular god in mind. For me, a god must match the character's role and what hes doing in the world. Since i dont have char yet - no god yet, and since i dont know what gods are available, cant select one for that reason too lol.

That would be a great faction to work on too - have quests and points to gather for titles - like priest/priestess, etc. Really hope titles are involved in-game...love em, and working on getting em are fun.

Maybe have priests and priestesses in whatever surroundings their god prefers that can give you quests, healings, titles, etc.

Imagine, walking up a long trail that snakes up a cliff. On the top is a temple of the God (insert name here). The temple radiates calmness and that certain quiet before a storm. Its as if you passed a perimeter marker and entered the god's sanctuary - and your not even in the temple yet!! You walk up the steps leading into the temple and once inside, your eyes are drawn to.....

If you are a follower of that god, they could have your character be glowing or something special like that when you enter the god's temple. If your not a follower - if you follow the gods' opposite in the pantheon, maybe you could be emitting a dark fog and lose hp in a steady but slow rate.

Now that would be a fun experience - hope the gods are included in-game.

That website still makes my head hurt with all the flashing going on. Its alot like our class description page, made up entirely until we can get actual descriptions.

With all the lore than Sigil has said they have laid out, I would be astonished if gods werent included to some degree in it. I'd like to see a god like Hades though, cruel and deals with the dead. Since I'm currently leaning towards playing a necromancer, that would be right up my alley.

I'm pretty sure there are altars where you can sacrifice goods in every outpost. I doubt the gods have been dummied out of the game.
