yes, just drag the name from the left hand list on the compose window onto a hot key spot.
Then if you right click on the hot key, you can add in /wear commands to switch to drum, lute, etc. Also note: /wear "Sword of Whatever" PrimaryHand and /wear "Knife du Jour" SecondaryHand for battle songs

I've used song macros forever. I've used item-swapping macros forever. Why has it NEVER occurred to me to put them together? D'oh!!
