Right on. Scythes are one of those weapons that are underestimated until it decapitates you. Although, when I think scythe, I think of Death, and with Death, I think of necros. It would be interesting if they allowed necros to wield such a weapon. I may have to show them how it works!

Well I'm going to be a Dread Knight at launch, and i would love for these weapons to be part of the DK aresenal as a 2 hander.

Hmm i didn't play ffxi but I think it's cool there is a game out there with scythes as an actual weapon line.

scythes would be pretty cool. especially if ya wearin black armor with a cloak. lookin all sinister and the like.

I wouldn't mind seeing Escrima Sticks or Kamas for a light fighter. THose would be pretty cool.

I've always been a fan of Axes and Hammers. I usually play Dwarf or Gnome Warrior types. Axes and Hammers go hand in hand with those races. I do plan on playing a Human Pally so will go light axe or Long Sword. Just fits the race/class better to me. My Inguisitor will be a Gnome so thinking Hammer. We'll see though. Just looking forward to being able to choose :-)

If I'm just there to off-tank/dps I'm hoping that Halberds are included (like the Vatican guards) but if I have to tank I am hoping to go old school Zulu with either Board and Knobkerrie (mace) or Board and Assegai (think of a 3 foot Sword blade on a two foot wooden shaft, you can thrust,slice,and throw it)

Sword, Axe or Mace huh.... hmm. I'd have to safely say (for a 1 hand defensive Dread Knight), a 1-h Bastard/Long Sword with a Tower Shield.

For two hand (if they can use two-handed weapons? Sorry im a bit ill-informed about that) the largest axe I can get my hands on. Can't get any better than a huge-rusty-notched 2-h axe (expecially with some blood on it)

Honestly I've never been a fan of using 2 handed blunt weapons. The only one i was able to deal with was the 2 handed mace out of scarlet monestary in WoW. It had like 8 little blades on the end formed into a mace, so i decided that its like swinging 8 little swords.

For me, i'm drawn to claws and other exotic weapons. It seems to me that you need to get in closer and more personal when using those.
