Armor quests too long?
Vanguard is a huge world, and there are lot's of things to see and do. One of those things is the CiS quest line, another is the Wardship quest line. But are these quests too long? It is not uncommon for a player to start CiS in his early 20s and finish by his early 30s. It is also not uncommon for the Wardship quest to take a player from his 30s to early 40s.
On the one hand, it's great to have an involved quest to work on with good rewards, something that isn't just beaten in one day. On the other hand, these series tend to run so long that players miss seeing a ton of other content within the same level range. For those of you that have done these quests, do you think they were too long or just right? If you made an alternate, would you do these quests again, or skip them next time so you could check out other places? |

In my opinion, it's not so much the length of the quests as it is the difficulty finding groups for the specific part you happen to be on, regarding cis.
Wardship is just a moronic faction grind, it wouldn't be bad at all otherwise...the rewards are definately worth it though. I wish they'd make infineum armor wearable without the silly flag...I couldn't care less about the weapons, yet I'm forced to do quests for them first. I'd be happier if I could just buy the armor and skip the frustration of trying to find groups for the quests...there's much better xp to be found elsewhere, particularly trengal keep, but I don't want to leave cis if I can't find a group and end up having to spend an hour or so getting from trengal back to qualia. Most of the time I just log out and play something else anymore...I realize vanguard is supposed to be a group-oriented game, but the quest line and lack of population due to them having far too many servers makes it unecessarily difficult. /rant off, I guess |
