Level Restriction on Equip?

I understant about the cost of equiping the weapons/gear but I'm lvl 25 and i have a lvl 35 2 hander that i cant equip. What ls the lvl restriction for equipping items higher then you.

The restriction is that the EE of the item must be less than 20%. It's not a simple level difference because I think it varies with the quality of the gear.

I've noticed that EE seems to drop 3-4% per level, so if you look at the current EE on the item you can get some idea at what level you will be able to use it.

EE has a big part to play in it also its safe to go about 8 or 9 levels above you. At level 20 I search for weapons and armor between 20 to 30 at the exchange.

I wish they would let you equip an item as long as you had the EE to pay for it. Of course, I am sure they found that open to abuse, but one can wish can't they?

I am one level from being able to wield my shiney new personally crafted breastplate because it is at 20% EE right now. I have the 20% to pay, but since it has to be less than 20 I can't equip it.

I really like the EE system, I just wish the cap was your total percent only not a per item cap AND your total percent.

Why ? The current system is far better than simple lvl restriction. This way you could either wear a few items with high EE, or wear a full set of armor with above average restriction. You have 6 jewlery slots, 9 armor slots, 2 hands and a ranged slot = 18 slots for adventuring, meaning that you can put on items with either an average 5-6% EE for each slot, or instead wear 5 parts with 19% and one 5% item.

Crafted items seem to need less EE than drops, so you better have a close at the stuff.
