Everyone Read this....The Mother of ?s

Ok So we are talking about exotic weapons...im a military guy, so i love the thought of the more devious and intresting ways to inflict pain. Now heres what we know. as you get in groups in VSOH things get bigger. More buffs, and what not. By your self, you get a house. In a guild, you get a town. Guild bank, guild everything. In raiding parties everything is bigger and stronger. Now...we know you can attack houses and towns. And we know this game is gonna be largly human controlled. Now here comes the weapons part. If your guild...builds a city...and it has beef with another city. Can your guild, come together, and attack it? With the guilds very own ballistas, tribuchets, catapaults...bassically seige weapons. Is this TOO out of the box thinking for weaponry? Who knows...but the thought of my guild comming together, and full out assulting another guild...just makes me happy. Let me get some feed back!

Much love

So far, I have not heard one word mentioned about siege weapons from any of the Sigil crew. However, maybe in later expansions it could happen. If that were the case, then they would most likely be implemented on PvP servers.

If you have never experienced siege weapons in an MMO before, then I would suggest you try out Shadowbane. I'm not sure if it is still up and running, because it was widely considered a horrible game. It was, however, one of the first to have player controlled siege weapons with which you could attack enemy cities and such.

Carry on!

Comming from a guild in SWG that did it all (2 class 5 cities neighboring, 1 neutral, the other rebel) and not being a PvP'r myself .. I'd have to see what guidelines they established for such endeavors. The concept of 2 raid forces going @ each other in a structered battle would be possibly the kewlest thing Vanguards could offer .. if it didn't interfere w/ the natural progression of the game ..

As long as it wasn't a constant assualt that would eventually grow boring, trite, and most of all lacking in social diplomacy .. @ a set time, and resulting in a meaningfull purpose .. well then I say let the seige begin!

well with cities and trading, you would need somesort of structure. ie. lord, or some kind of hieracrhy i would assume. But what the hell, it would be a blast to run over somone elses hard built city, and crush them. If they were a warring city that is ( Sparta ) or a trading, technology type city ( Athens ) thats a WHOLE! diffrent part of the game which, if made would be awsome...but i think may be a bit much to ask from even from VSOH. But nevertheless...i hope something to this extent comes in future expansions

Much love

Clearly it's option 4...

Really, it would all depend on guilds having houses, castles and such, and how you would feel if the largest guild brought 200 catapults and thrashed your cabin.

Well, I'd feel pretty silly for not burning their houses down first.

I would feel honored. If a guild rolled up with 200 cat. and felt that i was THAT much of a threat...then damn, i must have done something right. But then again...im gonna be a DK and scaring people is what I do.

Much love

This reminds me of another game in development right now, Warhmmer. The end game is to sack the opposing forces capital city, server will reset (NPC's will force you out), rinse and repeat. Talk about a constant battle.

I'm not sure about Warhammer being such a good idea... If you start playing it too much, people might look at you funny while you're stomping the ground walking down the streets.
