Binding/Attunement?
I havent yet played or read up on the subject, so id rather get an answer from someone who knows.
Is this like everquest or WoW as to where u need to customize (Bind in WoW (i think) and Attune in EQ) the armor to be able to get the full benefits? Or is it still the mass-trade player controlled economy? |

Last I heard there should be more trading in Vanguard and less of the soul bound/no drop/bind on equip type equipment. So closer to EQ1 in the earlier days before everything became NO DROP.
They have a different system where you will be able to be flaged for high end gear rather then making it all NO DROP. To use an EQ1 example, all of Nagafin's drops would be tradeable but you'd need to be flaged as having killed Naggy once before equiping any of it would give you any stats. That way you still have to earn the right to wear the gear and not just buy it but also can trade for it or hand it down after you out grow it. They also have a bunch of item sinks in game to keep the world from getting flooded by these tradeable items. Some quests for example will require your old gear as a turn in to get your new gear. There's also some sort of alter system for sacraficing old items though I duno what you get in return, maybe buffs? |

Well From the millions of posts and articles I have read it seems they are definetly getting away from that. Sure there will be some bind/soul only items but im guessing mostly from quests or a larger raid mob boss. But there will only be a few of these. They won't overrun the market. It seems they want vanguard to have a vast market and to have player made items it big thing, which i love. UO had this and the market was insane. Master tailoring / BS / etc.. takes a long time but when you get there your well known and you can charge for your services.
I do hope they put in recepies that are only say 10 or so in exsistence on the server. that would be amazing but not sure how the market would be affected |
