Vanguard Build 1798 Patch Notes 3/29/2007 – TEST SERVER


GAMEPLAY NOTES
- It is now possible for player piloted ships to travel between continents via the ship portals.
- Added new command, "/giveplayerlootitem" that can be used to send a loot item from your loot window to another player. If you are grouped, you need to be master looter or group leader to give another player a loot item. You can give loot items to players internal or external to your group. If you are solo, you can give any other players items from your loot window. If the transaction fails (possible inventory full) for any reason, the loot item is left on the NPC corpse for that person to loot. Usage of this command are "/giveplayerlootitem" followed by the receiving player's name and an item link from your loot window. Item links can be inserted in the chat window by shift-right click on the item icon (not the item text box, as this will actually loot the item for yourself).
- There is now a 3 second delay after killing an NPC before it can be skinned.
- Health, energy and endurance will now regenerate at out of combat speed while harvesting.

ADVENTURING NOTES
- Dread Knight – The endurance cost penalty on Ebon Blade form applies itself correctly now.
- Warrior – When Rend Armor crits, you can chain Stinging Cut into Biting Blades now.
- Warrior – Shield Wall now requires you to have a shield equipped
- Warrior – Taunting Strike VI will now cause chains to trigger when it crits.
- Warrior – Roar of Fury no longer triggers global recovery
- Warrior – Protect no longer breaks mezzes.

CRAFTING NOTES
- Fisher’s Pen – You will no longer be attacked by overland creatures when attempting to use the outfitter fitting table.
- Fixed issue with Gift of might series that was causing some attributes to not be included
- A new diplomacy deconstruction quest has been added to Tawar Galan. It is available only to mineralogists.
- The item Shandrel’s Focus has had its description updated to better explain its effects.
- The description for the quest “Grodek’s New Hammer” has been edited to be clearer.



DIPLOMACY NOTES

- Vhaloria will now correctly give out her poem when you defeat her in parley in the Tier 2 Kojani horse quest.
- Thestran Tier 2 horse quest has been corrected to have a choice between a light brown horse, a dark brown horse, and a grey horse.
- The merchants NPC’s parleyed with in “Intercepting Contraband” are now domestics so that the presence is more easily attainable.
- Tier 2 Diplomacy tack has received a boost to its effectiveness.
- Quest objectives in “A Cause for Interference” will now properly display and update with the names of the groups in Ahgram you need to parley with.
- The NPC’s needed to parley with in New Targonor’s “Ghost-ese” now require soldier presence instead of outsider.
- Quest Objectives of the Ca’ial Brael writ “A Warden’s Betrayal” have been made clearer.
- Queen Ilyia will now complete the Bordinar’s Cleft writ “Elves Against the East.”

WORLD POPULATION NOTES
- Afrit - There is now a warrior trainer within Afrit.

GUI
- Fixed a bug with the client not displaying new factions that you would gain as an association of another faction until you logged out.
- NPC’s now display the proper faction color in their name based on your total faction.
- Sea Portals should now be visible on the in-game map.

GRAPHICS
- Improvements to startup time, and the time required to switch between fullscreen / windowed mode, or change resolutions.
