intro to civic diplomacy help?
to start off, i love diplomacy. i think it's fun and it adds a new experience to mmo's the likes i've never seen before. but on to my question. i'm trying to do the 1st part of the intro to civic diplomacy quest. i'm a raki in ca'ial brael on the varking server; lvl 53 diplomat. i'm supposed to talk to a crafter and a soldier in a gossip parley in order to get some hearsay from them. i can't find a guard low enough lvl to talk to and i found a lvl 50 crafter, but i can't beat her. she's the sculpter on the crafting platform. i've parley'd other npc's that were a higher lvl than she is and won, but for some reason this girl's got some hardcore cards up her sleeve. i figure there has to be some easier npc's around to talk to, but i don't know where to look. if someone could point me in the direction of a low lvl guard and crafter, i would be forever grateful. thanx in advance...

Re: intro to civic diplomacy help?
I have done that part and I think I was lower lvl than you are now. If I am not mistaken I parlyed with the crafting vendor in the 1st floor of the crafters hall (however it is called, where the instructors are). AS to the guard... I really don't remember, it might have been one at the pier where the boats go out (i think i was doing other quests there) Maybe you can try one of the ones in the road to the piers, i think those are low lvl.
Sorry If i'm too vague but i cannot check right now and it has been a while since I've done it.

Re: intro to civic diplomacy help?
The lower level guards can be found in the "newbie" area in my experience.
You will not get credit for the hearsays you collect until you walk back to the quest area after obtaining them if you get them outside the quest area, but you will get credit once you get back in range of the quest giver. At least that is my experience. P.S. Pay close attention to the dress of the guard in the area once you find one low enough to beat. |

Re: intro to civic diplomacy help?
I remember being able to win a 75 skill parleys about 1/3 of the time.. it may sound lame but.. write down the cards they use! its easy to plan a card strategy then, you should be able to do 50's easy!
sorry cant help you on the 50 skill guard locations, I started at the north city on Kojan, there was a guard near the entrance by the crafters.. but it was along time ago. |
