Problems in Tursh, Horse Quest

I have a level 12 Druid with level 43 Diplomacy, I have received the Aquire a Horse quest in Tursh and turned it in to Lord Thannis Heartsworn and nothing else happened. It didnt give me the next part of the quest to go get the borrowed horse and go on to Three Rivers and do the other to timed sections of the free horse series. I would think that it was just me be my wifes toon is at the same level of diplomacy and adventuring as me and she has the same problem. After turning in the first part to Lord Heartsworn he now has a grey sheild with the red border above his head as if I am not qulified for the next quest. Any help would be great, I have put in several Bug reports to vanguard but have not heard back from them yet. Has anyone else had this problem, any susgestions would be gretly appriciated.

P.S. Since my caharator was leveled a lot during both double weekends do you think that maybe the Dipo quest is not seeing my true level and only what it would have been without the double xp. Its a long shot but it is the only thing I can think of.

It would be the Diplomacy level that is constraining this, I have done the first half of the quest with a character below 10 (a&c); I just couldn't get the second part to actually get the horse.

IIRC, the threshold skill is 45.

What does IIRC, the threshold skill is 45 mean? Not to sound like a noob, but it didnt quite make sense to me, lol

He means that he believes you need a 45 dip skill to get the quest.

IIRC means, "If I recall correctly."

I'm guessing this goes for all horse quests. My varanji jsut hit 40 diplomacy and I got the first part of the quest but not beyond - I'll hit 45 and see what happens

**Edit - ok - got to 45, did the quest, then he had me take a rode to his lady love - and I did.... but still no horse - much sadness and I have a diplomacy of 50 now **

After the first quest called Aquire a Horse, there will be two timed quests, The first one is a 20 min quest where the reward is normally a saddlebag, the second one is a 40 min quest that has the reward of the free horse. Have you done both timed quests? If so than something seems wrong. Hope this helps.

I did the 20 min one - but was never given the 40 minute one.... do I have to go all the way back to the person who gave me the first quest to get the second one? if so.... recall is *so* going to be my friend

You get the second quest from the NPC you end the first timed quest with.
