LN civic cannot train? 43 skill

I just finished my Horse quest, running to three rivers and 2 parleys.

I ran back and found my civic diplomacy instructor in LN. He says to go to my instructor and learn the basics of civic diplomacy. I run to my instructor but he has no options to learn the basics? (tutorial)

Who do i go to to learn the basics of Civic in LN? it leads me to the guy standing outside the queens palace, but there is nothing I can do with him as he just wants me to repeat the beginners 1 skill parleys.

I could not do the 2nd part because it sent me to the artisans circle but no one there would parley me since my skill was only 43.

I see people parleying in LN so either my quest is bugged or I am not going to the right person. I am only lvl 10 adventurer do I need more levels before I can go on in diplomacy?

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it

unless they changed it, you should be able to do all the civic parley's at skill 40, whether or not you can win is another issue, but they should atleast have the option.

Also, unless they changed it, you shouldnt have to complete the basics of civic diplomacy to do civic diplomacy (in beta i did it at skill 65 cause i didnt realize the quest was there till then )

My 2 quests I have are

Civic diplomacy : introduction
Civic Diplomacy : Information

I went to my trainer Arianna and he does not teach me anything and I am supposed to go and get gossip from crafters but they wont parley me since my skill is not high enough.

I am trying to find who I go to to just do the civic tutorials and then maybe I will be able to do the rest

hmmm...you sure its your skill and not your presence that isnt high enough? Also, you should make sure you cant parley with other ppl that arnt involved in your quests, if you can (and you should be able to) then you can train on them 'till you can do the quest.

i have been running around and I just cant seem to find people that have a 40 skill that I can parley with. I thought at 40 you can grind civic but since everyone I see is like 300 or 275. I have the crafter presence from my newbie quest. the lowest I have seen is a 50 so far but I still havent gotten that far in skill to attempt to parley them.

I am still running around looking, it just doesn't make much sense to me but who knows I might be missing something big, someone said on a board you have to equip a satchel and I did that but it still did not help.

The civic guy tells me to go to my trainer to learn about civic. but my trainer doesnt have any option to learn it, just replay the original ones.

50 is the lowest, and tbh you should be able to beat him at skill 43.

That's a problem with Leth Nurae. Not much in there for lower skilled Diplomats. Check some of the guards, they are usually about 50 or 75 skill. If you can make the run to Tursh, a lot of low skill merchants, crafters, and soldiers in the area.

If you're stuck on the "get 2 hearsay" part of the Civic Intro, I'd just go travel or ask if anyone has some to spare.

that is still my problem I cannot complete the tutorial. no one will even parley me with the civic until I do this it seems.


I don't understand why my trainer does not have anything for me to explain the civic diplomacy. I just got the 2 quests from the civic diplomacy guy in LN and he told me to go find my instructor. My instructor does not help me in anyway to complete these quests.

If anyone has done the LN line and got the first tutorial, who did you go to to complete it?

I think I have to pass this or I cannot parley anyone

I am going to attempt to abandn the quest and see if i can get it again. Maybe something was bugged. I will say what happened when I try it

Since you said the NPCs were in 200s etc, your problem is probably one of finding low enough NPCs to do this.

I do not know LN dip, only HZ low end. Did some in Halgarad but never tried to go beyond horse. One long grinder is enough for me at the moment

You need to find skill 50 and 75 npcs, you CANNOT parlay with NPCs of >= your skill + 50.

So the highest NPC you can parlay with at the listed skill is 93. Since the tiers are 50/75/100/125/150/etc look all over for the 50-75, while you do so, ask in shout if anyone know where they are.

Unless you spoke to NPCs, chose civic parlay and saw they were 50 AND the presence requirement (usually 5 at most) is not RED, then you are not bugged. If the presence is red, I believe there is an item given to you that allows you to address them, if not - look for ones without that or buy a cheap clothing piece to give you the 1-4 presence you are missing.
