Re: bag.. pouch.. anything!
Throw away suspension of disbelief, we could all go into a long discussion of the example you presented about how you expect a wagon in the scenario posted. Just look at what any crafter OR harvester carries.. wait... any adventurer carries and you want a wagon for that already. So many use the 'reality' argument when no one would accept anything resembling reality from devs. Food in EQ1 was hated by so many, as one example.
In addition - why would 'clothing' outweigh armor individually? How do we manage to make several trips to the bank to swap when the quests we are sent on are not anywhere near banks and you won't know what you need until you hit the npc. No, either remove the outlandish reliance on clothes (putting it back on your own presense) or give some way of carrying the 'buffs' (clothing) that other classes get as spells for their spheres.

Well, "realistically", you wouldn't need to have dozens of pairs of clothes just to go talk to a couple people. Real world diplomats don't even do that. In reality, a crafter couldn't care less about what kind of earring you're wearing that day.

And Aruspex has also mentioned a garment bag. Weight hasn't been an issue for me, but space has, and I'm only doing adventuring and diplomacy right now, mostly diplomacy. I carry 2 alternate pieces of adventuring gear and I have a few quest items in my bags. Everything else I have is for diplomacy. The bottom line is that diplomacy items take up a LOT of room. Crafters have a special bag for their utilities. Likewise diplomats should, and will, have a special bag for their clothing. |
