Ready to stab Cho Moonflower in the eye with a pointed stick.
I'm at 64 Diplo skill she's 30 and yet i lose every time.
No matter what I play i can't beat her. Someone said go back to your trainer to get updated cards every 10 levels including a purple card ( whatever that is ). Anyone know what trainer they mean from Ca'la Brea? |

Re: Ready to stab Cho Moonflower in the eye with a pointed stick.
I hit the Cho brick wall at 38 skill, and haven't done any diplomacy since, and I love it (though not in its current incarnation). /shrug Too bad.
The trainer is presumably the original chap with the tutorial quest? He, if memory serves even remotely, should be on the tree with all the Wardens somewhere, or by the Hall of Lore? Someone more knowledgeable will pipe up, I just wanted to share my Cho Moonflower hate. It's her fault I've decided never to touch diplomacy in VG again (until I change my mind).

Re: Ready to stab Cho Moonflower in the eye with a pointed stick.
That is a hint.
I cannot be sure...but my readings of posts over the last year or so has honed (unless he repsponds it is not a hint, in which case I will deny ever saying this - just like any good right-wing pundit would) a 'sense' of these things. And usually, all you DO need is a hint, and it all becomes clear. In other threads I tried dropping 2 specific tips for npcs that vexed me. I am NOT a good diplomat yet (did I say 'yet' - I don't have TIME for this... why am I thinking of continuing in Dip, I'm an adventurer! ...arrrgh) but I have started to see patterns. Maybe he refers to "Snippet of Wisdom" - maybe that is a common attk for your race and he is saying she denies you blue (?) expression (Inspire) for it or has a rebut to steal it or whatever, maybe he means you must deny her her color in addition maybe alot of things. If you can tell us what you are race expression based and what she is doing (general feel of her cards - does she use 0cost 2expression pointers and doesn feed you or what does she feed you or does what she feed you change on what you setup on your deck (see Aru's Avatar ;P) or finally does she pwn you with expression YOU feed HER?) Give us info, maybe we can explain the hint...if it was ... if it wasn't a hint we can prob still help ![]()

I'm still stomping off peeved from diplomacy though (for right now). Of course, I've hardly managed to log in at all for the last week, so this is *such* an easy thing to say. ![]()

Re: Ready to stab Cho Moonflower in the eye with a pointed stick.
I hate Cho Moonflower, too. I stood there with another PC and we each tried about a dozen times. The other gal finally beat Cho, and then told me the cards she used to do so. I used the same cards and handed Cho her butt on a platter.
SPOILER ~ SPOILER These are the cards used: Loud Criticism, Blunt Evaluation, Frank Discussion, Aggressive Statement, and Elven Imperative. Lead with Blunt Evaluation END OF SPOILER ~ END OF SPOILER I hope this helps. This is a very "red" hand to play with, but it beat Cho. |
