I am beginning to see why I might be having such a hard time with diplomacy with my new character.

Varanjar Shaman ... can we say inspirational?

I need to find cards that:

turn demand into inspire
turn reason into inspire

I currently have one that turns flattery into inspire, but rarely does me any good.

I get fed lots of demand and reason, but only have one of each card to use, so I wind up with loads of those emotions and nothing to do with them.

I recently aquired a card ... cant remember the name, but it is purple and costs 1 demand/reason/inspire for influence of 5. Pretty sweet card, but hardly ever get the chance to use it.

I would love to be able to aquire better comment cards too. The ONLY one I have that changes influence by 2 is snippet of wisdom, which gives opponent 1 of every emotion. I have come across several opponents in Halgarad who use comment cards that give merely 1 of 1 emotion but still move the influence by 2 ... where do they get these cards and can i have them?

I also have come across "Broad Understanding" (yes, this is my card peve of choice tonight). It has an influence of 0 but gives the player 1 of EACH emotion without giving any emotion to the opponent. ... CAN I HAVE THIS CARD?

So I guess my rambling leads me to this, will there ever be hope for the "casual" diplomat? I like the idea of levers, but occasionally I'd like to go out on my own with no agenda other than leveling myself and aquiring new gear. I am way overwhelmed as it is with civic diplomacy. I just left my starter line and have felt lost ever since.

That card is called Absolution, I use it parleying the guards in LN for convice on Increase the Guard. Very handy card indeed.

Nope. It's called Elocution. Mentally I call it Electrocution...hehe.
It does work great on Call to Arms. Finally got a strategy that will help raise my faction and prestige out of the ashes.
