Re: Disappointed

It's really cool to see this is a game where the quest has real challenges.

Re: Disappointed

Well, I don't think the OP was complaining about difficulty but about confusion instead.

The thing is that it is necessary that the game lets you know exactly what you have to do to complete a quest, not "how" but "what"; not to think you are done when the game is laughing at your back knowing you really aren't .

Other than that, challenge is very welcome .

Nothing wrong with some learning curve i think especially in the starter area's IMO:-)

I see this kinda like a joke the devs pulled at us all wanting to see how we go through it all.

Exactly. I dont want someone to have to hold my hand, but in a quest such as this one, it would have been nice to be informed that the quest was not completed until returned to the QG. I realize the timer was still there, red, and counting, but I didnt see it ... I saw 3 green dots saying I was done with my objectives and a green check mark saying the quest was ready to turn in. How I missed the timer is beyond me, but maybe the fact that everything else was pointing to go was the culprit.

I love diplomacy, but I think there is so much that could be done, and one of those is making things a bit clearer .. instruction and education. Im not asking for spoilers and Im not asking for big neon signs, just instruction and education (some times common sense illudes us) - big difference IMO.

Re: Disappointed

As a High Elf, the horse quest was pretty easy for me, maybe because I did it before the patch. I had one strong strat that pretty much got me through the whole thing. I did use recall, but probable didn't need too because I already had a vendor horse with shoes & tack. It was nice to get 10 silver from selling back the vender horse, I can live with the -5 speed. The biggest rewards for me was the 12 slot saddle bag & diplomacy pouch.

The day after I finished the quests, the patch went in & I had to really scramble to learn how to effectively parley in civic diplomacy. Does anyone know if you get a title after you get over 100 skill? I see that the crafters get a title.

my hubby Wumdaorf is 110, and the new title is "envoy"

we did the varan horse quests before the patch that changed everything, so we were lucky.

Woot, I got my title last night. You sure need a lot of presence to do the quests at 3 Rivers. I have a lot of diplomacy gear from my gring to 100, but it's still not enough to be able to do those two quests I picked up. Guess I'll have to grind the academics a bit.
