Should we add write ups?
Comming from EQ and the excellent enchanter class boards I feel it is ok with some write ups when you get stuck. If this board do not like write ups remove this thread.
I am embaressed by the fact I might slip on spelling names och places still since it is all new to me but this can be viewed as version 0.1 while things are somewhat fresh in my mind. My toon is a Thestran Paladin starting in Trush village(sp?) Name:? Mission: Find clues about time travel/disruption in the Arce school tower. There is no need to try and scale the broken stairs. Simply go out on the first exit and visit one of the smaller towers for a scroll laying on a table. Name:? Mission: The Arch Inquisitor(sp?) Want you to interview a man and let lose a deamon to slay him. After you have parleyed with the man twice, once equiped with the memory item and once without it, right click on the deamon cube (spherical actually). Now parley with the deamon. Winning makes the man despawn and body parts spawn on the ground. See to it that you have room in your inventory! A head, a torso, 2 x leg, 2 x arm and 2 x ring will be your loot. Run to the "Plant" site and right click the body parts to get along to the finish. Once I get home I will add correct names and perhaps add more quests. |

This is the kind of thing that could go into the Wiki. However, I have heard that we will be seeing a quest database on the site in the near future and it could go there.
If you want to add things like this I would suggest using the quest name as the name of the Wiki page and placing [[Category:quests]] at the bottom of the write-up. I was planning to start a quest timeline: Thestran Adventuring (timeline), similar to http://www.vanguardspheres.com/wiki/...%28timeline%29. This would serve as an index into your write-ups.

No only the ones that are not straight forward like the bugged one where you are supposed to capture a demon. When you get to the indicated spot and right-click the (round) demon cube you get a message that you are not on the right quest. I reported this quest.
The only one yet really worth a write up was the one where you release a demon and the victim is ripped apart in pieces. A hint that plenty of room in the inventory is needed and that you should loot the ground spawns and right click on the body parts at the plant site is sufficient. I like the fact that the difficulty of the diplomatic quests so far is in the tactics and not running looking for hidden NPC's or rare drops from rare spwns. |
