Re: Fancy Pants for the win!
I too agree
You should need to plan your trips and pick the gear that you think you will need to complete the task ahead. There was talk at one time of rock falls blocking tunnels which would be a pain if no one in the group packed some mining gear. Done forget some dungeons will take upto a week to complete with no access to your horse. Equally you should not be able to swap gear when under attack and yes it should take time to unequip and reequip, you would have to find a safe spot to do it. |

Re: Fancy Pants for the win!
You will most certainly have to pack an extra set of clothes. Need to dress for the occasion and all...
It would be funny to forget to change and end up wearing ruffian garb to a meeting with royalty... Probably wouldn't go so well. (Starting with the guards at the door.)

Re: Fancy Pants for the win!
I'm not sure I agree with having to change your whole wardrobe just to mine a vein of ore in the middle of a dungeon. Yes you should have to put your sword away and pull out a pick but carry everything? Thats not immersive thats tedious and impractical. However if it was real life I wouldn't want to start hacking at a vein of ore in full armor either.
A hunter dosn't change into butchers clothes after he kills a deer just to gut, skin, and harvest the meat. Maybe change out a couple items but not a whole wardrobe change. At least thats my take on it. Rao

Guess this will greatly depend on your harvester skill a high level harvester could probaly fell a tree in full armor and a rusty penknife. A lower level may need the help of a full set of lumberjack gear to do the same job. |

Re: Fancy Pants for the win!
Hmmm you may be right Grey but to me certain items should be more influencial depending on sphere.
Diplomat Clothes make the man/woman Adventurer Armor and Weapons make the Man/woman Crafter Tools make the man/woman Now What I mean is a crafter/harvester should still be able to harvest something with his tools and his tools should have the biggest bonus. I can see sertain items helping with certain types of harvesting tho. Someone harvesting trees should have a cutting emplement, and a treeclimbing kit consisting of a belt and spikes A sap harvester should only need a tap and a hammer. Maybe a boring device but these are all tools. Miner should definatly have a pick. Maybe a lighted helmet, cold chisel and hammer. dinamite There are situatuations where certain activities may get a negeative bonus if yer waring another spheres outfits. Again Mining comes to mind. if your in full armor and start mining a vein you would probally soon become over heated. And a diplomats robes would soon become so grimy that they would never be usfull again. So maybe I do see the pros and cons of full wardrobe changes but dosn't mean I want the tediousness of swapping out. And In a fight you want every able body do ing there job not just waiting for the next harvesting oportunity. Unless of course its a bot. Rao
