Well, Mel- I am currently playing my gnome Illusionist on EQII (He is 1 of several alts, but been more like my main lately). I love playing him but I really only play him because they ruined my guardian, at least for a while, and I haven't gone back to playing him to see if he has been fixed. So, I would really consider taking on another tanking role in VG...just need more info on all of them so I can decide if it will be an offensive or defensive tank. The guardian in EQII was more of a defensive tank so I may go that route - all depends though.

I can tell you right now that I'm going to play Psionicist. I love the fact that they have an edge when it comes to pulling, and I have always been a great puller.
Besides, I've played just about every other role in an MMO. I think its serious time to lay down some damage and some crowd control.

hmmm Well, The Best Ive Ever played was a Paladin on EQ1.
I played a Ranger on EQ2 and was Very good at it as well and Leveled Faster and was More Powerful than my paladin. Now does that make me happy? I am Stil Undecided....I did However play a Chanter For Awhile i never got the hang of it Really.Im too much of a GO getter type/LEMME KILL IT WACK. Warriors to me are kinda Too Easy,As just Getting BEAT on in the Group all the time is Kinda Boring for me.. I want to see What Vanguard has to Offer me, I WILL PLAY a PALADIN and it might be my main as i LOVE a Challenge,But if i end up being a MAIN TANK all the time i will hunt Other Areas of the game to keep my Intrests up. |

Where does it say that Psions will not get mez and charm?...
I see conflicting reports. Last I checked, Psionicists will get mezzes, charms, and bunches of other spells. I know there's an article that says they won't get mezzes, yet, there're many other sources that say they will. As for the question -- future Dark Elf Psionicist, here. |

Seem to recall reading that they get mez and charm like spells but they arent quite like what you are used to. The other thing to note is that Sigil is giving other classes mez/charm type spells as well iirc.

This is just blatant speculation on my part... but I'd bet money on Psions being BETTER at mezzing and charming than any other class.

It is my remembrance from videos/explanations of the videos that psionists will get a mez like spell because in one of the videos a psionist makes a second mob (an illusion) which distracted the original mob, sounds like they will get at least some enchanter like spells.
