Diplomacy Advice Needed

Hi all!

I thought I'd start here in collecting ideas for diplomacy. I admit that I am a die hard crafter through and through and that my guild often has to pull me away from my forge by force

On my main character I have enjoyed working on diplomacy ever since they increased the number of cards you get in a parley. Yes, I know that was MONTHS ago. Did I mention my pretty forge?

Anyway, I have seen some wonderful items, titles and quests put into the game since then and I thought I should start some of my characters out on this interesting path.

I have characters all over the world and in many races. So what I'd like to ask you is... what race/area did you enjoy beginning diplomacy in the most and why?

Come on guys! Let me know where you think I should start out!

My 2 favorites are DE and Raki.
If you play a DE doing diplomacy you will actually get involved in the devious plots that race is famous for.
The Raki has a very unique story line as well and you end the tutorial feeling sorry for the Lil foxes.

The northern barbarians (van-whatever) were fun too -- a good story of political in fighting.

My Husband has a DE and has done diplomacy with his character and I had to laugh at the plot line. It did seem very fun.

Has anyone done the diplomacy on Kojan?

I wasn't really pleased with the Kojani/Half Elf story line -- not bad, just not as much fun as some of the others.

I've only worked on a few, and by far the DE was the best one so far. As mentioned it has a really good plot line and it kept me going through it.

Tanvian diplo is a series of quests wherein you work up the clerks/internal workings of the empire. Some nice titles in there...
...and, you do get a better feel for how the emperor has gone to the dark side.

Thestrian Human: intro to new tag's royal houses (well, three of them). Halflings do a lot of area specific things that build up the race... and, there's a twist in whom you are helping towards the end. Halfling diplos are a much wiser set, after they do their intros.
DE's get to play fast and loose; assassinations are the order of the business (dag burn dragon peeps; they have *tempers*)

I have to admit that I never did it myself but Ive heared pretty often that the Kura intro line was very very well made, great fun and those sweet kitties are way more sanguinary than one would think :P

Make absolutely certain you do all the quests in Tawar Galan you have access to, and get 'Poetic Truths' from Poet Liong in Tanvu.
Don't forget to drop by Mackin's place in NT, either... bring about 20s for purchasing his drink for the 'Wisdom in Wine' card.

(note, 'Wisdom in Wine' is one of two earnable cards via being drunk. The other one is the revenge card, you can only get off the bartenders by parleying with them)

Scattered Impressions is another absolutely crutial card; there are a couple of different ways to get it (one is in TG, FYI).
