Hey folks, I just wanted to give you all a heads up on what all's cool that's going on in the wonderful world of music and creativity.
A good friend of mine, either referred to as Syara or DJplaeskool, is a quite talented (in my honest opinion) "techno" artist, for lack of a better term. While he refuses to go commercial or public for whatever reason, he's been releasing various original tracks and remixes on his website for years now. About a year ago, we did our first "collaboration" under the name NeKonsortium, where he did a remix of a portion of my string quartet 死(Shi), or Child of Light and Dark as it's known on my website. That can be found here:

Just recently, he finally put out his first "album" (read: free-to-download .rar file). It's mostly all original stuff, really great stuff to groove to. However, he also has two tracks that may be of more interest to folks that're familiar with my music.
One of them is called Daybreak in Azuma, which is a remix/arrangement of my Lightning Field from The Four Elements. It's a very neat somewhat ambient tune that takes the general feeling and instrumentation of the original piece and puts a totally new spin on it.
The other is called Lamentations and is a remix/arrangement of A King's Lament. It takes the King's fanfare during the first half of the piece and riffs off it for most of the tune, and is pretty neat.
The other tracks are, of course, very worth checking out as well. They range from a huge variety of inspiration, so I definately recommend 'em.
The whole album can be downloaded over at his website:

In any case, big plug for my friend

I hope to do some more collaboration with him in the future.
