Re: individual and social play
(I play mostly to meet people, and like many of you have already said there are good days and bad days. I guess you could say that either way when you look back on the time that you spent, can you ask yourself if you had a good time or a bad time. I tend to play for goals that I have established before I even log on. Like maybe i want to get a level or kill a named monster that will have a horrible chance at no item drop. While its all fine and dandy to "camp" a named monster for 48 hours kill it the 2 times that it spawns, and get nothing for that time, you have to ask yourself, did you have fun not really accomplishing anything at all? At times like that i often turn off the game and put in a movie becuase it seems more productive to just stare blankly into a TV set then to waist another minute sitting around and waiting for nothing.
In Vanguard from the sounds of things, it seems that if you and your friends delve into the depths of the dungeons and kill the Prince of Thieves that you will get some decent loot each time. spending hours to get down to the deepest part of a dungeon one would hope that you didn't come back with absolutely nothing to show for it.
Please correct me in any way if i am wrong.
I will give one corretion to myself right now-If you are with your friends, or atleast people that are social and talking with you, you can leave the dungeon having gotten nothing more then friendship and be happier then if you had suddenly been given the Ancient Armor of Himat the conquror of Delmina and lord of the lands of Fartunia, or some other really sweet gear.
thanks in advance for your thoughts)
