) and they rationed TV time for me and my sisters when we were growing up, and vetted what we watched. I was the kid who never knew what the others at school were talking about when the conversation turned to TV or pop music! I still have to sit out the nostalgic conversations about that, as I don't have a clue, LOL. We never even had a computer until I was about 17 I think, not on principle but just cause they're expensive and my parents didn't see the need for one. It certainly wasn't a deprived childhood, just different from most other people's. I get the feeling my parents are somewhat bewildered by my current lifestyle, hehe.
