Ick, 56k; I had to suffer through many EQ1 raids with a really poor connection which eventually forced me to quit because of the horrible lag and inability to perform my tasks in a large force raid environment. This is like 72 person raids though, and during every fight I'd get like a 2 minute lapse before the mob we were facing was dead and sometimes the raid would have moved and I'd still be sitting there thinking something might happen. lol
I live somewhat in the middle of no where as well, but we were fortunate enough to get cable access 2 years back and it makes MMO playing much less of a hassle.
That said, I'm pretty sure Vanguard will be plenty accessible to the 56k crowd, that don't have access to cable.
Vanguard is focused mainly on single group content, with some raiding (though I'm thinking the raid cap will be less than 40 people).
By the way, welcome to Vanguard Spheres!!
