Re: CORE players
The arguments over the definition of hardcore/power player v Casual player have raged on the Vanguard boards for years. I suspect there are as many definitions as players.
My definition is that some players are driven to excel. They dont only want to be the first to achieve something but they want that something to be beyond the ability of "average" players. They crave fame and admiration.
As to Casual I take a different slant on that as well. I see casual more as a state of mind than the number of hours a player can put in.
The guy who gives their character a thoughtless name, who mucks about spamming the channels, who asks stupid questions rather than being bothered to think and begs for cash or items rather than work for them. Its the guy who cant be bothered to understand their class or finds chatting with friends at home more interesting than the group they are supposed to be healing.
