Hello everyone.
I stumbled across an advert for this game and decided to check it out, not knowing that I would be very intrigued with what I have seen so far. Currently a World of Warcraft subscriber, I hope to switch over when this title hits the shelves. So far I like most of what I see, and I plan to stick around to see how this game develops.
To tell you a little about myself and what I look for in a game, I am a student attending a community college in eastern Tennessee. I major in Journalism and I am always looking for new material to write about. At the moment I specialize in writing short stories in fantasy settings, hence my love for the MMO genre (but I always loved them anyways.

).
When looking for a new fantasy world to call my home, I am always enticed by clear, crisp graphics and fluid motion. Realism, at least in the visual sense, has always been a quality I seek in an online game such as Vanguard. When traveling in the world, I have always enjoyed large and open terrain. In past MMO's, I never could find a place to roam without having to constantly interact with a N(PC). Call it my wanderlust, but strolling across a vast open plain while reveling in a spring rain is like putting me in a candy store with a handful of $100 bills. However, I also enjoy the social side of life and partake in the cities and towns, so I can't call myself a die-hard introvert.
The second-most important quality I look for is the music. Not just the theme music for a specific area, but the ambience as well. I want to be immersed in where I am to help the simulation become all the more, in a word, authentic. If the soundtrack is appropriate in its timing, placement, and execution I will be one happy gamer.
Well, my shift at work is about to end. I hope to become more acquainted with you all soon, but until then, I am off to perform my other obligations. Goodbye for now!
