Main reason for that is that the machines they make these games on and it seems especially for the screens are beyond the average gaming machine.

EQII had further concerns in that the graphics engine was made for "next years" video cards and systems, so the game is actually designed beyond what most systems today can handle.

As to the screens the outdoor ones seem best to me so far, I am also concerned on the character models. Not up to par so far and seem to suffer from an enhanced floating above ground effect.
