I am pretty much in agreement. That spider was eerily realistic, and the landscapes are breathtaking. The PC models still need a little work, which is acceptable, but I feel that they are steadily improving with each batch of shots.
The UI is looking reminiscent of the EQlive UI, which should still keep things pretty basic; but not to such a level where everything involves hitting a key and watching TV while the mob dies.
One problem I noticed in the UI, however, was that the characters appeared to be doing phenominal amounts of damage to the creatures. At level 4 they were attacking for 50+, and were almost hitting 200 at around level 10 in just pure melee. Maybe its just the way this game is going to work, but I don't really look forward to having melee characters doing thousands of damage per swing as they level up. Maybe its just some sort of GM ability so they overcome mobs, but I don't know. This is just the one thing that has me slighty concerned about Vanguards overall feel.
