Re: WARNING: Gravity Games

Creates a new user account huh? Well that's new. Most people have accepted programs like gameguard and Blizzard's own warden client as necessary evils in the online gaming world. However the games that use those programs have entire paragraphs about these programs in their respective EULAs and none of them go so far as creating an entire new user account on your computer.

Reading the thread you linked and the ones linked in that thread it seems that it wasn't the game developer that was at fault but likely the location he downloaded it from as there are several. If it wasn't in any the EULAs for the game, the download, or the hacking prevention software then he has grounds for a lawsuit and should take up that action. If it is an EULA somewhere then he has no one to blame but himself for not reading the most likely overtly long, boring and tedious EULA. Nobody likes to read EULAs but doing so is a necessary evil.

This is yet another reminder why I love my gaming consoles.
