I think those two covered most of it, but since test is locked atm I thought I would put in my 2 coppers.

Test offers a few other things that are not official, but has more to do with the small player base we currently have. First off, the players are pretty helpful and friendly with each other. Because we have a smaller group of players, we often help each other with items and crafted gear/resources. People often drop what they are doing to help with a quest or make some items for other players.

This is not to say that the folks here are going to give everyone who shows up a full set of gear. We tend to help folks out after we get to know them and they look like they might stay on test, or at least visit frequently.

We also get the chance to "talk" directly with the folks working on making the game better. For me this is one of the rewarding parts of playing on test. I would wager that all of the regular testers have found some bug or exploit and pointed it out to the devs. It is rewarding to see these changes go into effect and make the game better for everyone.

Lastly, and certainly not least, we get to test the new pie before everyone else. Long before pie ever makes it to live, it has been tested over and over. While pie still isn't "working as intended tm" we have high hopes that when GU3 rolls out, that we will have all the pie bugs worked out. Because no one wants bugs in pie, thats just gross.
