I had a real hard time holding agro on the extra mobs. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this. Should I tag one and switch to the next mob on incoming? Once we engage I don't want to switch so we can stay focused on one mob at a time.
First of all, if it is multi mob pull no matter what you gotta pull at your level. At level 18 it changes a lot - you get Phantasmal Blade, and AOE dmg ability. Typically I would do 1 of 2 things. 1) I pull, Torture one mob, switch to 2nd mob and call for attack, when torture refreshes I torture 3rd mob and go back to 2nd mob to avoid losing aggro. Healers and DPS should also know better than to atk 1st or 3rd mob or atk at all unril you call for atk. 2) I let ranger or shaman pull with root on 1st mob, than I SS-Phantasmal Blade 2 nd mob be4 you get into combat, than I call for atk on 3rd mob.

Also, can someone explain how rescue works? Do you have to have line of sight to the defensive target you try to resuce. The are almost always behind me and it seems like most of the time I hit the rescue button nothing happens.
You have to be within distance of both defensive and offensive target. Also you have to have them selected correctly. LoS doesnt matter, and as of last patch being in combat with mob doesnt matter. But once you rescue you have to put some additional aggro on mob to avoid losing it right back to person who had it. You should always have most likely person to get agro on your defensive target. If it happens to be a DPS class, i rescue them 2-3 times, than I explain to them to hold back a little, than I let them die a few times. After that if they keep repeating, they either disband or I disband. IDIOTS WILL WIPE YOUR GROUP. and CRs can get painful, specially if it is with those same idiots.

Also, as silly as this may sound, one good advice to starting tank - do not "panic rescue". Rescues are on refresh timer, and it is better to let mob hit a person few times, than to waste a rescue and have that person die on you.

Also2, some people are in a habbit of running for it, soon as they get aggro. I usually engage in tell conversation with them, after battle, and make sure they understand and agree, that if you got aggro, safest place in the entire Telon to be at, is near the tank. Tanks get rooted, stunned, thrown around the room by multiple mobs. We cannot afford to chase a mob that is moving fast if we got 3 other mobs beating on us.

Hope this helps.
