It doesn't always work. Sometimes kick or decimate misses, though that is rare (still annoyingly often enough though! And yes, kick skill is maxed). I find lag kills about 1 in 8 tries (lag causes MG to time out before it registers decimate button hit). I'd say I get about 5 out of every 6 attempts to work correctly.
make sure you start with kick before you do anything else so that decimate timer is not on and you can hit decimate right after you kick (can macro this).
