though something needs to be done to put warriors on an equal plain as DK and pallys

I'm not the kind of person who keeps dev quotes at his fingertips, but I do read quite a bit of what they write. From what I remember them saying, VG is not intended to be a raid centric game, there will be some raids, but most high end special encounters will be 2-3 group events.
And in those situations it is my understanding that yes, it will be similar to group tanking, and the tank classes will be interchangeable.
I was happy with the EQ model as well; leveling up a warrior was a serious challenge (for at least a couple years during pop era) as SK's and Paladins were by far the preferred group tank. Once you got that warrior leveled up though, it was a very worthwhile class for raid tanking, and a very satisfying end game.
I'm not really as upset with my class as a lot of others are atm, I'm not waiting for a new LA. I'm hoping for something that makes the warrior unique though, and I'd rather that come in some form of weapon usage as opposed to spells or buffs. I feel I'm spending far too much time staring at my UI as it is (I need to set up one of those fancy hotkeys that do a bunch of abilities in order like many of you have ), and would rather see my class as a weapon master than a caster with a sword.
