Benifits of being a warrior.

I can tank!

Most other classes cannot in any circumstance take the punishment we do. We are a neccasary part of a group on that point. Only the Pallies and DKs can even compete.

We are not a dps class. I can not crit for 7k+ at lvl 41 like rangers do or 15k+ like a sorc can. I do crit for 4k+ dmg at times and when i have my ability to chain attacks with oblit/dec/destroy i can maintain a mobs aggro in offencive stance while contributing a singnificant amount of dmg.

I am a group dependant class.

Thats why i chose the role of a warrior. I can solo 2 dots my lvl or 2 lvls above me. I can grind them out for less exp then i would in a decent group, and when groups are scarce thats what i do. When in a group i have not been sidestepped for a tank of another class and have found myself complementing the other defensive fighter classes well. Usually it only depends on who has better ac/def as to who is main tank, since we can both pull aggro off each other as needed with specials.

I am not a CCer.

I can hold 3-4 mobs on me, at any given time if i have a good healer and everyone else in the group knows thier responsibilities more is possible but you increase the margin of error. It is not advised to go into a dungeon that is going to have more then 3-4 aggros at any time, without the proper group setting, nothing can prevent the loss of aggro in this game, even with CC mobs are going to attack. With 2 healers and a CC this is less a problem for when we are tanking/off tanking and another healer can handle the odd hits on the squishies. Or if your group is unable to cut down the mobs at a decent rate no aggro maintenance you or your healer or CCer has will make up for it. If you arent holding aggro on a single mob pull there is either something wrong with your gameplay or your groups, dps class have to understand your role as a tank and thier role as dps. You must maintain aggro for it to be consistent, on off lvls before we get our aggro skills increases we are horrible and you need to make sure that the group understands that you need a few seconds to establish control.

I am Badass!

Before patches after patches whatever, you have the ability to overcome your inability to function. You are a warrior, thats what it means. Granted there are alot of issues facing the class and the game as a whole, but if your not willing to try to overcome challenges do you really deserve the title?
