i had the very same problem with my conjuration. as i always forgot to cast dark ward, i had like 60/350 conj.
now i macroed dark ward with my main attack styles and so i am spamming dark ward always when its available. this way i made lot of conj points. think thats the best way for guys like me who are too dumb or lazy to cast dark ward in really every fight.
my main macro is:
/cast "Slay"
/cast "Dark Ward"
/reactionautocounter
/cast "Malice"
/cast "Vexing Strike"
works quite good for me so far and solves the nasty low conj problem.
