Archery
Hesitant to post this, because it seems very powerfule to me and I don't want it to be nerfed. But I haven't seen any posts on it and want to share my experience and hear from others.
I have been playing with Archery lately and have found that I can do over 1000pts of damage to an even level mob before he is even close enough for me to then hit them with torture etc. This is at level 18.
When I pull in this fashion, the others in the group don't really need to hold back at all on nuking the mob, it hates me a lot.
Using crafted Tin arrows, and a dropped 'elven short bow' (blue) my arrows hit harder than the 'white' damage swings with a Protectors Greatsword. And the rate of fire on the bow is faster then the greatsword. I have ~ 290 STR as a half giant in full protectors gear.
If i get in trouble, and need to 'fear' something, I can easily do ~1500 pts of damage with the bow before the monster comes back.
Archery, it's not just for rangers...
