Well Keris after some ajustments Im holding agro just fine.The ajustments were to the people I group with and not so much to my play style since it was very similar to what you and others are doing. I was in a situation where (as I mentioned) I was in a group with people a few levels higher than me that were used to grouping with a tank (warrior) who was a few levels higher than them.
Before adventuring last night I told them to let me generate my agro which meant I pulled with torture/devour strength and then dumped a provoke and then let them engage then I would Ravageing Darkness and I never lost agro once. The only issue I had was it took a few more hits than I would have liked to grab agro from the Psionocists mezzed mobs my god do they generate some hate. It was never enough to get the Psi killed but it was a bit harder than Expected. I began Saving the rescues for the mezzed mobs and that worked quite well.
