I play a warrior on varking(team pvp server). Currently level 14, rerolled from a 24 sorcerer. When i played my sorc warriors and other defensive fighters were easy prey. Esspecially a warrior that neglected his bow skill. On my sorc i never once had a warrior shoot me with a bow as i kited him around.

Anyway, the other day the temptation of being a plate armored, dual wielding juggernaught of doom got the best of me. So i rerolled to a dwarf warrior. Got him to 12 and went pvping in dark infested lands. I learned alot about warrior pvp. Ill share some of that info...

First of all, i didnt just walk into enemy territory unprepared. I made sure all my skills were maxed for the level save kick, it levels so slow. Anyway, thay included my BOW SKILL. Notice i said bow and not CROSSbow. Bow while they dont do as much dmg as a crossbow have longer range. I also use the general good bought arrows that give (+10max range, +5min range). This means that youll have a slightly bigger dead zone from which you cant use your bow, but when people are running or trying to kite you...its a god send when you can shoot your bow from 35m away.

While pvping i ran accross many different classes. Healers will be your toughest fight in vanguard. Currently healers esspecially shaman rule vg with an iron fist. Dont be discouraged if you lose ot one in pvp, they are a bit overpowered as of right now. As for casters and offensive fighters, you can pretty much stand agianst any of them 1v1. 2 gets a bit hairy and if 3 is in the equation unless your part ninja like myself forget it...

I tried defensive stance but it just leads to you prolonging life without ever doing any dmg to your opponent. Offensive stance is where its at unless your group pvping. Then you can just go into defensive stance, rescue/shield bash people at will. RESCUES DO WORK IN PVP GUYS. They will force your opponent to target you and all that good stuff, so use them!

Ok as for what weapons you need to be using. A 2 handed weapon is nice...but its not the best...unless you have some insane heroic/legendary 2hander its not going to be as good as 2 nice DW's. There is a reason warriors are the ONLY defensive fighter that can DW. Think about it. I reccomend geting a swiftblade or 2. The extra crit % really helped out.

Ok so now that you have your bow, your in offensive stance, you got your 2 weapons. What do you do now? You kill of course! What do you mean how? Oh you want to hear some tactics do you? Fine...

When you rush in on someone its important to know what your fighting so you can react with the right combo. I always open with rend armor reguardless of class. I cannot stress this enough. USE REND ARMOR. make sure its always on your target if you can apply it.

After rend armor is applied its time to do some serious dmg. If your fighting a caster all youll need to do is unleash your 1, 2 combo of doom. This combo does serious dmg while stunning your opponent.

1,2 combo of doom: Leap attack, decimate, Stun Battle cry, Leap attack decimate. Owned. Nough said. That caster should be laying on his back if both leap attacks set off the decimate and everything landed. This will be your main combo in pvp. So make sure you set these skills up in easy to reach hotkeys for greater success. You do not want to miss a decimate in pvp. It can mean life and death.

Save kick if the combo fails or you need to interupt a cast. Remember its does NOT trigger the global cooldown timer meaning you can kick someone, and hit leap attack immediatly if you have enough endurance to do so.

You wont always want to charge into a battle with swords flailing either. USE THAT BOW. I use a 29dmg bow. My range attack hits for 80-100 every hit. My infuriating shot hits for about 180-200. They ARE NOT ON THE SAME COOLDOWN TIMER. Meaning every 8 seconds you can pop off a 200dmg blow followed by a quick 100dmg from ranged. Thats HUGE people. Also if someone is on a horse you can knock them off of it with a bow shot. It may take a couple but it works. Comes in VERY handy.

As 12 i had a levle 12 druid try to kite me. The entire fight i used my bow. Just slowly plucking him with 80-100dmg shots. He healed a bit but soon realized that as long as he turned his back and ran i was doing dmg and he was slowly dieing. I enventually killed him only using my bow. That in itself is a testiment to why you need a good bow and maxed range skill. So get to it.

Well i was trying to make this a short post but i guess i got carried away. I hope you guys can get past the spelling errors and what not, its late and im half asleep typing all this. Anyway i hope this helps and answers some of your questions about warrior pvp.

So to sum things up for Warrior PvP:

1. Dual Wield = the best.
2. Offensive stance is a must, unless in group pvp.
3. BOW IS A MUST

Any questions just ask and ill try to answer them if i can...
